When your vehicle is in the garage, a mechanic might need to remove your telematics device to plug in a diagnostics testing machine (if you have the plug-in device). They also might take the vehicle for a drive - and we know you can't control that!
You can avoid any issues caused by the garage by letting us know in advance. If you do get feedback afterwards that makes you think they've caused us to flag some poor driving, you can send us proof that the vehicle was with a garage. Just start a chat and tell us the situation - we'll send you a 'ticket' to fill in with the details.

How to send your garage document
You can let us know your vehicle will be in the garage by starting a chat and giving a few details about the situation. We'll then send you a 'ticket' to fill out, which will ask you to provide some information to help us update your policy.
You might still get a notification if you have a plug-in device and the garage unplugs it, but just get it reconnected as soon as you can.
How to avoid problems with documentation
A failed MOT certificate isn't acceptable as proof your vehicle was in the garage
If your vehicle needs to stay with the garage for longer than the timeframe on the documentation, you'll need to get updated documentation
