Your policy start date
You choose the start date for your policy when you get your insurance quote.
You can choose to start your policy instantly by selecting today, or you can buy in advance, selecting the day the policy will start in the future. This can be up to a month in advance.
Changing your policy start date
Changing the start date for your policy isn't possible once it's been set up.
If you need to change when you'll be insured from, we can cancel the existing policy and set up a new one with the start date you want.
Your policy end date
Your policy end date is one year from your start date, at 23:59 on the final day of the policy term. We'll send your renewal quote at least 10 days before this date.

Look for the 'Effective date for the commencement of insurance' at the top of the first page
