Enabling fingerprint or Face ID in your app means that your identity is verified when you chat to us.
That keeps your account secure, but it also lets you skip the longer data protection process of confirming personal details.
We'll usually ask you to set up biometrics if you start a chat with us but doing it in advance will save you time.
How to set up biometrics for the app
Open the app and log in
On your dashboard (where the app first opens), tap the cog icon in the top left-hand corner
Find the 'Enable ID' or 'Enable biometrics' section
Toggle the switch next to this option - it will change colour to show it's enabled
Your fingerprint or Face ID is now successfully enabled. This will be used to verify your identity when accessing the app.
